Microneedling

Microneedling (AKA collagen induction therapy) utilises microscopic needles that help boost collagen production and growth factors in your skin through controlled injury. This will improve the appearance, texture, and overall quality of your skin, as well as improve scalp health to stimulate hair growth. The use of microneedling with specialised mesoserums make it possible to address a wide range of skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, dehydration, stretch marks, scars, rosacea, pores, hair loss, and many more. Through vertical penetration of multiple sterile needles, tiny channels are created through the dermis to effectively infuse medical-grade active ingredients in your skin whilst synthesising collagen and elastin. Your treatment mesoserum is completely customised to treat your goals, whether it be anti-aging, brightening, hydration, or problematic skin.

  • What are the side effects and complications?
There is a risk of bruising with every treatment, as well as minor swelling and tenderness at treatment areas. Headaches can occur and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relief. A rare complication is infection at treatment sites (aseptic technique is used). Other rare, potential complications include ptosis or asymmetry, which can occur if surrounding muscles are affected. This can last up to 4-8 weeks before resolving on its own.
  • When will I see results?
Results usually start taking effect by day 3-5, with final results observed at 2 weeks post-treatment.
  • How long will results last?
Treatments usually last for 3-5 months with recommended doses that are customised to each patient, however, individual results vary. An in-person consultation is required to assess for appropriate dosing.
  • What are the post-care instructions involved?
It is advised to avoid any heat-inducing activities, caffeine, rigorous exercise, and dermal treatments for at least 2 days after treatment. Avoid any pressure on the treated area for 4-6 hours after the procedure, and stay sitting up right for the remaining of the day to prevent any complications. Please advise us if you have had any dermal treatments in the last 2 weeks before your appointment.
